WHY I'M RUNNING, MY STORY, HOW I'LL REPRESENT YOU
We can do so much better than this.
Why I'm running
I'm standing because I believe our electorate deserves a representative who puts Malvern first.
Like you, I'm tired of party politics. Tired of dishonest, opaque and disingenuous goverment that has led to wasteful use of taxpayer funds, poor planning and structural collapse of services and institutions. Our state deserves better.
My story
I'm a small business owner, building designer, educator and mother of two twenty-somethings.
Througout my career, I've learned that the best results come from listening, respecting different views and finding common ground.
Working in the family manufacturing business, I understand how difficult it is to operate in increasingly competitive and regulated environments that limit growth and job creation. But I also know how we can help small business to create jobs, grow our economy, and make our state - and the country - more prosperous and secure.
As a building designer, I know we can find a balance between preserving Malvern's character and ensuring enough housing for the next generation.
My board, association and committee work has proved that mediation is key. Progress is possible when people feel genuinely heard.
How I'll represent you
Malvern has a choice this election. The major parties have taken voters for granted, won't work together and haven't delivered for the people they represent. As the Community Independent, I will listen to the experts, look at the evidence and take a long-term view on issues that affect the community.
I will champion:
- Real action on crime and safety
- Housing affordability
- Integrity, accountability and transparency in government
- Sustainable economic growth
- Climate and the environment
- Treaty and reconciliation
If elected, my promise to you is to listen, act on principle and find practical solutions – solutions that respect your wallet and the planet.
